TRIBE © is The Behaviour Clinic’s flagship model of trauma-informed care. Designed by our team of therapists and behaviour analysts, TRIBE brings together behavioural science, attachment theory, and evidence-based therapies into a single, practical framework.
TRIBE is a comprehensive model that underpins all of our work. It combines:

Our consultations provide in-home or in-school support for children with complex needs, including behavioural difficulties, attachment challenges, and psychological concerns such as self-harm.
Each consultation begins with a formulation of the child’s needs and difficulties, identifying priorities and exploring the function the “why” behind what is happening. From here, our consultants design effective, individualised interventions tailored to the child and family.
Consultants then work closely with parents, carers, or staff to implement trauma-informed care in practice, providing hands-on, practical guidance and strategies that can be used day-to-day. This service is about more than advice, it is about creating meaningful, lasting change by embedding support where it is needed most.
Trauma-Informed Consultations are often used when a placement is at risk of breakdown, or when specific difficulties such as childhood aggression, smearing, sexualised behaviours, school refusal, or relational and engagement challenges arise. Consultations can be tailored to meet a wide range of high-level needs, and we have several specialists with expertise in specific areas.

TRIBE Trauma-Informed Care Training is more than a course—it provides a practical foundation for anyone supporting children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) or trauma. Designed by specialists, it combines science with compassion, giving participants the skills, strategies, and confidence to make a lasting difference.
TRIBE training underpins everything we do—linking to our therapeutic services, consultations, and the wider TRIBE community—so that families and professionals can work from a shared, consistent approach. It can be completed as a stand-alone course or combined with a TRIBE assessment, therapy, or parent consultation to create a tailored package of support.

This is a nine-module programme delivered in an interactive workshop format. It can be completed over nine weeks (two hours per week online) or in an intensive 3–5 day block for organisations. Workshops run three times per year (starting January, May, and September). As well as live workshops Attendees gain access to an online portal with video’s and resources. We highly recommend TRIBE Training alongside Trauma-Informed Consultations, as the two complement each other, building knowledge, strengthening skills, and maximising impact for families and carers.
